Ganymede (son of Tros, king of Troy) was a Greek man of perfect beauty to such a degree that it captured the attention of the leader of the gods, Zeus .
Zeus transformed into an eagle and kidnapped Ganymede to live among the gods as an immortal and serve as Zeus’s cupbearer and lover. Zeus then put Ganymede in the sky for eternity in the form of a constellation, the star cluster Aquarius (the water bearer).
